This will be the first Champions League meeting between these clubs and only the second final between teams from France and Italy after the 1992/93 decider, when Marseille defeated Milan 1-0. The team from Paris are aiming to go one better than in 2020, when they lost to Bayern Munich in Lisbon. PSG had a turbulent journey in the inaugural league phase. After a shaky start, they rallied to win their final three games and clinch 15th place. They defeated teams like Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal to make it to the finals of the Champions League. Luis Enrique’s men have already won two titles this season and will be aiming to win a treble.

On the other hand, Inter Milan were among the most consistent sides in the league phase, finishing fourth with just one defeat. Recently, they missed out on winning the Scudetto for the second consecutive time, as Napoli won this season’s title. Last time in the final of the Champions League, Inter lost to Manchester City. This time, they will look to win the trophy. Simone Inzaghi’s men eased past Feyenoord, defeated Bayern Munich and even the mighty Barcelona in a nail-biting semifinal to book their spot in the final.

PSG are the third French team to reach the final of the UEFA Champions League more than once after Reims and Marseille. Both teams are in great form and will give their best on the pitch to win this prestigious competition. This will be a mouthwatering clash for sure. PSG have no fresh injury concerns in their squad, so they should be able to field their strongest possible starting lineup. Benjamin Pavard is suffering from an ankle injury, Bisseck and Zielinski are both doubtful due to some discomfort. The rest of the players are fit to play in the upcoming fixture.
